The second racing weekend in the ADAC GT4 Germany, which took place at Red Bull Ring (A) from May 20th to May 22nd, was filled with ups and downs for the Overdrive Racing Team.

Getting off to a rocky start because of technical difficulties Stefan and Pavel struggled with the pace and finished 19th at the end of the first day.

However, they made a marvelous comeback on the second day of the race and climbed up to 6th place. Stefan finished 2nd in the Junior league class getting a well-deserved spot on the podium.

The Overdrive Racing team ended the weekend with a best lap time of 1:04:11.050 minutes and gaptime of 3.285 seconds.

Overcoming challenges at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben

The first official racing weekend of ADAC GT4 Germany took place at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben from April 22nd to April 24th.

The race presented some challenges and a lot of lessons for the boys, which ultimately made the team stronger and even more focused on the track. Stefan pushed hard during the second day climbing up 9 positions by the time he gave the car over to Pavel.

The Overdrive Racing team placed 21st in the final charts with a total time of 1:03:18.635 and best lap time of 1:32.815 minutes.

The new season of ADAC GT4 Germany series is just around the corner and the Overdrive Racing team has successfully completed the first test days at Oschersleben. After a long winter break Stefan and his teammate Pavel came back to the track on April 5th and April 6th.

Despite minor technical difficulties at the beginning the team managed to recover quickly for the second session and maintained a steady 3rd place throughout, while keeping the first car at a very short distance.

The inconsistent weather conditions on the second test day were no obstacle for the Overdrive Racing team and the boys stayed on top for the duration of the race.

After a successful season finale of the ADAC GT4 Germany series at the beginning of November, Stefan returned to the track a month later on December 11th and December 12th, taking part in 3 consecutive races.

Unfortunately, the unfavourable weather conditions made Stefan’s comeback harder than expected, presenting him with challenges throughout the race. However, this was a great learning experience for him, helping him further develop his driving skills on the wet tarmac. Once he got the grip of the track and got to know the gears, Stefan was back in the game, finishing 11th in both the 1st and 3rd race.

The sixth and final weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany series, from November 5th to November 7th, marked the end of a dynamic season full of surprises.

Stefan started the weekend behind the wheel from position 8 and climbed up to 6th, but went back to 8th place after some serious competition on the track. He managed to keep his spot in the top 10 before Pavel took over for the second part of the day. He managed to climb up to 6th place and finished 2nd later on.

Lefterov started the race on Sunday from position 11. After taking over the car for the second part of the day, Stefan maintained a secure 6th place for most of the race and finished 7th.

The boys ended the last race of the season with a total time of 56:37.978 and best lap time of 1:36.505 minutes.

The fifth weekend of the ADAC GT4 Germany series, from October 22nd to October 24th, was one to remember for the Overdrive Racing team.

After Stefan started off the weekend on Saturday, teammate Pavel took over for the second part of the day finishing 8th. This gave the team the opportunity to start from position 7 on Sunday with Pavel behind the wheel. During this dynamic race Pavel managed to drive his way up to 3rd place. Stefan took over for the second part of the day and managed to keep the advantage of his team finishing 3rd at the end of the race.

This has been the best and most impressive performance of Stefan and Pavel on the track this season with a total time of 1:03:08.937 and best lap time of 1:48.874 minutes.

After an unexpectedly long break from the track, Stefan Bostandjiev made his return at ADAC GT4 Germany, Germany with teammate Pavel Lefterov from October 1st to October 3rd.

Regardless of the team’s hard work and preparation for the race, Stefan and Pavel had a few technical difficulties on the track in Sachsenring which slowed them down and ultimately placed them out of the top 10 of this weekend.

The Overdrive Racing team placed 13th in the final charts with a total time of 1:02:59.344 and best lap time of 1:28.443 minutes.

After successfully recovering from COVID-19 Stefan Bostandjiev was ready to make a comeback at Nürburgring this August with teammate Pavel Lefteov. Unfortunately, Germany was affected by deadly floods and the race had to, therefore, get cancelled.

The next race is going to take place in Sachsenring from October 1st to October 3rd.

The third race weekend of the German GT Championship took place at the CM.com Circuit Zandvoort, the Netherlands from July 9th to July 11th. Up to 3000 fans were allowed to watch the ADAC GT Masters on the 4259 meters long track each day.

Even though Stefan Bostandjiev and teammate Pavel Lefterov were ready to take over the track, the Junior class representatives of the Overdrive Racing team were unable to participate in the race due to Stefan testing positive for COVID-19 a week prior to that.

This, however, did not stop the Overdrive Racing Trophy class competitors from making a statement on the track with a total time of 1: 18: 09.869, best lap time of 1: 46.467 minutes and 24 laps behind their backs at the end of the 2021 mid-season.

The second official race weekend of ADAC GT Masters took place in the Red Bull Ring (A) from June 11th to June 13th in Spielberg, Austria. While there was a strong Asutrian representation on the track the first fully Bulgarian racing team Overdrive Racing managed to position itself as a leader both in the Trophy and Junior class.

Stefan Bostandjiev and teammate Pavel Lefterov, competing in the Junior class, drove the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS MR for the third time in a row this season and finished 10th with a total time of 1: 34: 46.843 and best lap time of 1: 38.637 minutes.
